Bike aboot

Bike about was created to share the bike routes we do in Scotland, primarily round trips starting in the central belt. We are not knee scrapers, we are friends who enjoy getting out of the house doing what we love, riding. Skills range from a learner driver, rehabilitated biker, intermediate and long term commuters. We do it because we like it, not because we are competitive, not because it makes us feel suprerior, not because we end up with vibrating balls. We ride to stay sane.

Its time!

Summer is slowly sneaking up on us, the time where I turn into a 16 year old addicted to:

the smell of a bike running rich
the smell of fresh chain lube
the coffee whilst waiting for the bike to warm up in the mornings
the slip sliding on the Teflon tyres on the wet Scottish roads
the two fingers waved aggressively in the bus driver’s face
the time to mock Mauro for not having his big bike license yet
the conversations with Jamie about how loose his helmet fits on his new hair style
the 3 hours spent with Ann cleaning the bikes late Sunday afternoons

Look the blue boxes are turning yellow!

TL;DR; its f’ing time to plan road trips!

You know, this list has to be edited as I do have a big boy bike license now, and a big boy bike to go with it...
